2024 Summer Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals – May 2-4, 2024

One of the first big events of the season is the Magic Dragon Street Meet! Head over to the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip for one massive car show, the largest in Central Missouri! While this year’s event is already sold out for participants with vehicles for show, all spectators are welcome, and the fact that it sold out so early goes to show it’s going to be one event you won’t want to miss. This unique car show features all makes, models and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles. The show started in 1987 and now has 800+ participants and over 10,000 spectators annually. The strip is closed during show hours on Saturday, which makes for an electric atmosphere; according to their website, “Some say it’s like being on the set of ‘American Graffiti’.”

Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Offshore – May 29 – June 2, 2024

Formerly known as Lake Race, Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Offshore attracts the fastest and most powerful boats in the world to compete on the waters of our beautiful Lake! You can expect to see high performance vessels, from cigarettes and v-bottoms to offshore catamarans and center consoles, making their way to Central Missouri for this annual event. The course will be located at the 7 mile marker of the Main Channel near Shady Gators and Camden on the Lake. Join us at the Lake of the Ozarks May 29 – June 2 for a weekend of family fun and spectacular powerboat racing! Lake of the Ozarks Shootout – August 24-25, 2024

Experience the thrill and excitement of powerboat racing at the 2024 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout! This 36th annual event is the largest unsanctioned charity boat race in the United States! The 2-day powerboat race takes place at Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill in Sunrise Beach, MO on the 34.5 mile marker of the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks. The event not only offers fun for all ages, but it raises funds for over 40 local charitable organizations across the Lake area. Be sure to checkout all the other events leading up to the races, such as Shootout on the Strip, where you can see all the boats lined up on land for your viewing pleasure. Lake of the Ozarks Air Show – September 7, 2024

Back this year is the Lake of the Ozark Air Show at Camdenton Memorial-Lake Regional Airport! Come out to enjoy this show of exciting performers, historical aircraft and entertainment. The Lake of the Ozarks Air Show is an Official Commemorative Partner of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration. The show is open to everyone, and parking is $10 per vehicle. This is a great event that only happens every other year, so you won’t want to miss it!

Lake Bikefest – September 11-15, 2024

Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the United States rumble their way to the Lake of the Ozarks every September for the ultimate bikefest experience! Our beautiful Lake area offers some of the country’s most scenic rides, through the rolling Ozark hills. Enjoy biker-friendly bars and restaurants, as well as concerts, giveaways, a passport run and much more.
