5 Top Lunch Spots at the Lake of the Ozarks

Here at Your Lake Vacation, our days revolve around one very important thing: LUNCH! There are so many great places to grab lunch at the Lake of the Ozarks, which makes it nearly impossible for our office to agree on where to get takeout from. With that being said, we do have a few go-to favorites that everyone seems to enjoy. According to our staff, these are the top lunch spots at the Lake of the Ozarks:

1. Zen Asian Restaurant

If you’re in the mood for Chinese food, Zen is our favorite option and they have the BEST lunch specials. The special comes with one entrée, fried or steamed rice and your choice of Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls or an Egg Roll for less than $10! Some of our staff picks include the General Chicken, Kung Pao Beef and Sesame Chicken. We’ve recently implemented “Zen Tuesdays” at our office, so most of us eat this literally every week. It’s such a good deal and the food is so fresh and delicious!

2. Pablito’s Taqueria

While there’s no shortage of Mexican restaurants at the Lake of the Ozarks, Pablito’s is our favorite. They offer fast service and fresh food at a great value, whether we are dining in or ordering takeout to bring back to the office. You can’t beat their lunch specials! The Pollo Bandido and Lunch Quesadilla are favorites among our staff.

3. Bandana’s BBQ

While there are plenty of BBQ places around the Lake area, an office favorite is Bandana’s! It is close to our office and the food is great. Popular menu items among our staff are the Smoked Turkey and Beef Brisket platters. They come with two sides and two pieces of garlic bread. If you’re having trouble deciding what to get, you can choose a combo platter and get 2 or 3 meat options! Sides include BBQ Beans, Green Beans, Potato Salad, Fried Okra, Applesauce, Cole Slaw, Baked Potato, French Fries, Sweet Corn or a Side Salad.

4. Tirebiter’s Peanut Pub

Tirebiter’s Peanut Pub is frequented by our staff at least a couple times a month, if not every week. They have different daily lunch specials, and be sure to get there early or they will run out! They also have a “Burger of the Day” and let us tell you, their burgers are amazing! Another staff favorite is the Chicken Tenders basket, with HUGE chicken tenders, seriously, you’ll probably have some leftover. Be sure to grab a side of their Honey Mustard, in our staff’s opinion, it’s the “best honey mustard they’ve ever tasted!”

5. Pappo’s Pizzeria

If you’re looking for good pizza, look no further than Pappo’s! You can’t beat their lunch deal which is a side salad and small pizza for just $11.99! If you don’t want pizza, their lunch special also includes their calzones, subs, order of 6 wings or the meatball app. This special is dine in only, but they have a variety of craft beers and other beverages to also enjoy while you’re there.
